Some of you might remember me willing to start riding bikes, well it is on now, I will pass my CBT friday... I expect things should move quite fast, so I am already thinking about the bike I want to purchase, but would you think it is best buying a bike privately or off a dealer?

Depends on your prioritie and abilities: if you are interested in getting the most from your cash and are confident in your abilities to spot a stolen/crashed/thrashed bike, buy privately. If you want post sale support buy from a dealer.

Passed the CBT today, very easy formality, the instructor was happy to have "a day off" from teaching... I did it on a brand new Suzuki GN125... I had to keep my eye on the speedo to check I was actually going forward. On the dual carriageway I thought the bike wouldn't reach 60... All in all a very pleasant day, now I just have to find the money to pay for the DAS and to buy a bike!

have fun, enjoy and be careful. biking is one of the best forms of transport out there.

Great fun indeed and I can't wait to have a proper bike... Although the GN125 as to be one of the most uncomfortable bikes above 50mph...
