Can Am Bombardier

My son's best friend, a 20 y/o marine has just got hold of one of these. Apparently off a bloke in a pub.

It's completely original with all parts present, and will try to fire but dies. I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but it appears to use a Rotax 250cc engine. Could it be the usual "shit in the carbs" :-)
If anyone has any info, I would be most grateful.

Hell's teeth, they were being decommissioned when I first got into bikes nearly 20 years ago! I haven't seen one for years...
