A look back at Foggy`s career......
Discussion
Foggy was on a Duke at the right time in the right place...I`d put Whitam,Hislop,McKenzie,Walker,Reynolds,Byrne & Hodgsen all in the same bag as joint equally most talented in the UK over the last decade. It`s a pity Bayliss did not get called up alongside Foggy in 98 or 99...It would have interested me to see what Fogarty could have done with Bayliss on identical machines as they were both very aggressive riders.

do you reckon Foggy could have been Moto GP champ?
Blokes in work love Rossi and hate Foggy.
It's a big shame that Foggy never switched series or teams to finally show how good he is, not just the Duc he was sat on. Of course, he showed how damned good he is long before he sat on a Duc, but he should have made that final switch to flick the V's at his doubters.Blokes in work love Rossi and hate Foggy.
A superb rider.
A flawed team boss.
A shit awful TV pundit...
"So Carl, a great victory for Hodegson there..."
CF "Yeah it reminds me of the time when I won here back in blah blah ..."
"Er... indeed, and Walker a magnificent ride for 2nd"
CF "He must be gutted, much like the time when I was riding blah blah blah"
Remember when he emptied his RV's sceptic tank by mistake? hehehehe
I think its the danger that some people believe a great rider can become a great commentator or a great team boss.. Its possible but not exactly guaranteed.
As a rider i thought Foggy was awesome. Can't take that away and yep if he was the right age at the right time etc then i would of liked to see him in Moto GP with Rossi etc.
But i don't think he's really got the right ingredients to make a great team boss. A consultant perhaps to a team but not the boss.
I would like to see him commentate at races but i think he would have to move on from constantly re-living his past glories and using his knowledge and experience to constructively talk about current riders..
Foggy was great but time has moved on and his time has passed now..
