Evening all,

Help needed on what bike to get next, i currently ride a Blade rry 2001 and this is my first bike but as i do with my cars i like to change them quite often, I thought i wanted an SP2 but after test riding one for the weekend i have changed my mind on a twin, The easy answer is a gsxr or such like but im sure i would get bored rarther quickly, So what are your views??????

Can I ask why specifically you've changed your mind about a twin? TBH I would think you'd be better testing more than just the SP2. The Honda didn't do too well in magazine tests against the competition from the likes of Ducati and Aprilia.
If you want a 4, and you want it to be a bit different, how about an MV F4? The 750 can be bought quite cheaply 2nd hand, and some of the 1000's are sensible now. Tests claim they handle well, go well enough. And they are one of the most beautiful and exotic looking machines around IMHO.

I just didnt like the difference in ride on the twin, even though they sound gorgeous, I was looking at the MV what a mint bike, Its just so hard to get test rides on bikes unless you go to d and k of course,

Triumph speed triple 3 cyclinder..or the sports range
Kawasaki`s have a following that love the induction roar & crazy top ends..
VFR 800 V4 with race cans...something different..
Did the SP2 have race pipes....standard exhausts strangle the lovely note..

back on topic, depends on what you are looking for.
What didn't you like about the SP2?

If you don't want another 'Four' Superbike then that will cancel out the Gixxer thou, ZX-10 etc.

How about a speed triple 1050? or a KTM SuperDuke? they are a bag of fun in a different way to supersports bikes..

I would say Aprilla Tuono but if you dont like the twin thing then maybe not your bag. However a 2007 'R' is pumping out 136bhp which is a noticeable amount more than an SP2 or Ducati 999 and has street bars.. I'm becoming a fan.

If you want a frisky 'Four' how about a 2005 zx-10r? That will keep you on your toes.. hehe

The MV F1000 is an ace bike. You gotta keep it clean and look after it as they are true 'Italian' bikes and they go like stink.
Only negetive i have heard of the MV from a mate who has one is the front end feels a bit vague if you aren't assertive with your steering...

There's alot of options out there..

rgds,

Nick
