First Track day on the 750...
Discussion
What a bike!!! Much better than the 600. I remember someone telling me that the R6 was, at the time, the best bike for hooning around the track. Well, I seemed to go much faster round the track on the Gixer. Tyres are shot to bits, and I've been told that I can't lean the bike over much more, and that the next step for me is to start hanging off the bike. Now, this is gonna be a big step. It's an alien thing to do, and I guess needs a shed load of practice.
I bought all the pics, so I'll try and post a few when I get home.

Hanging off & knee down is where the big smiles are for me...you will probably be suprised just how soon you get contact if you are reaching for the tarmac with your knee...
An added bonus with the 750 will be the ability to hang on to the coat tails of the big boys with the option of stuffing it up the inside at the end of the straight....

But wouldn't you have rather have done it on an R1?
Not expernaced the ltr bikes but as fast as my Fazer is and that I would love a Gix 750 and how more powerful that is do you really need a ltr bike if just using it on the road.you could never use all the power without putting your life at risk

Sounds like you had a good time. Which track were you on and which tyres? Do you not move off the bike at the moment? I should think if you do start moving around you'll be seriously fast!
I'll post my test ride results a bit later... Rob.
There were 26 bikes who made the journey to Northern France, to a track called Folembray. It was brilliant, as we had the track to ourselves all day. It was an IAM event organised through EuroTrax, where we had training and road skills in the morning, followed by an open pit lane in the afternoon.I'll post my test ride results a bit later... Rob.
Na, I don't move at all really, with my knees constantly gripping the tank. Still on the same Bridgestones the bike came on, but I need to change those now. Next toys are braided hoses and upgrade the pads, cause I love nailing the brakes, having the back all over the place....makes ya grin!! Oh, and get the suspension set up correctly.
Really, Really recommend using EuroTrax. They took care of everythnig, and were top blokes. On hand all day to assist, even to the point of repairing bikes in record time to get you back out there. We had dinner and beers with them in the evening too!
Cheers.

Funny, cause was talking to the mrs last night about needing a bigger shed....and she agreed!!!
Sounds as though you had a good time Chilli, get your photo's up. Myself, T66AKY, Stub and Hobo, are maybe going too do a couple of trackdays in September, dates are, Croft 14th Sept and Cadwell 28th September. Do you fancy any of those Two dates.
If you fancy Croft, bring warm clothes, and your passport.

Sounds like you're having fun on the GSXR Chilli. You definitely need to venture oop North and join us. If you're not hanging off the bike at the moment, you wont believe how much more speed is available! Pics would be good
John, I do fancy those dates and will have sticky rubber sorted. Will call Hobo to see if he's game for September.
