I started with an Arai RX7 RR, and then, when this started to look a bit tatty, settled for a quantum.
I now have the Schuberth (C2 i think) in silver, and it really feels great! Its far quieter than the arai, removable inners etc, great materials used inside, and the flipdown 2nd tinted visor is cool as! Plus it was far cheaper than the RX7RR and only slightly more expensive than the Quantum

Personally I think all the top Euro/Jap brands will offer you similar levels of protection, but that's just an opinion and it's very, very hard to back up with any real form of facts. The US do publish results of some tests and the Euro/Jap brands pass every time first time. The Chinese & Taiwanese often do not, which is a bit unsettling IMO. I look forward to the new ACU tests when they finally come into force, hopefully giving us all a better idea of how much protection our lids actually offer.

HG do seem to push Arai, although I'd be tempted myself as they and Suomy are the only manufacturers that give any details regarding testing and impact performance of their lids. I don't find the Arai lids at all comfy though and am very happy with my AGV and Caberg. The Xlite lids that HG are pushing atm seem very good and are a new brand launched by Nolan with an emphasis on light weight. Judging by Nolan's performance I'd reckon their performance in a crash would be extremely good. Prices are nice too. smile

Ditto (except on a Shoei XR1000)

I reckon silver looks good with a mirrored visor...

2 1/2 months on the road, both South and North Island... South is better - less population, fantastic scenery (and fewer copevil)
