Yea I know it's easy on a straight road, but that was on a roundabout.

Off the rev limiter in top on the GSXR750WV.

170 on the GSXR750K7, although that was with luggage fitted, there were plenty of revs left, but the aerodynamics wouldn;t allow any more.

People will go about their business and fulfil their aims however they see fit.

It's a poor journalist who quotes off an internet forum without researching their work.

By quoting 186, I guess I'm closer to a rapist/murderer than the bloke doing 174..
I agree with you, but that doesn't stop them, and I'd hate to hear there were any actions taken due to a post on here.... that's all mate.
LOL Are you forgetting it was you who posted the thread asking people to cite their fastest speed? wink hehe

14.7 decaleptons on the RF600R & thats all it would do, ahh well not bad for a £500 hack i guess. oddly thats the same indicated v-max as ive had on 4 wheels, that was in the boss' twin turbo supra thingy (uphill, anyone know the shoreham flyover?).

Mine only did 58mph then all the bulbs would blow rolleyes

Best on a bike was 17.4 leptons on an R1.

16.8 in the M3 and a shade under 18 (in a very short distance) in the passenger seat of an F40 biggrin

I've never been over 70mph because it's illegal, dangerous and irresponsible.

Apart from the time I did 195 in Germany by mistake. So that means it must have been kilometres per hour.

I shan't be doing it again. Especially now my new bike is limited to less than that.

Best I've had out of the R1 on the "autobahn" was 183mph (speedo), but the most amusing was buying the bike as a private sale when the seller told me to take it for a spin and said something like 'I dont mind you giving it the beans', cue one 177 run and I was sold on the bike.

Obviously this would be silly to do in the UK, as the fastest I have ever been, ever is 71mph by accident, but fingers crossed for a run on Monday that matches my unreasonable expectations of an indicated 188mph for a sustained run.

Anyway...............it's easy to go fast in a straight line...
Ooooo ya bitch!

I know a bloke who had the same bike as me and the same name as me and the same helmet as me who did an indicated 186 on his R1. He reported the revs kept climbing a good 2 or 3 hundred rpm past the max speed readout.

a timed 185 at RAF Woodbridge.

The needle was off the clock at 220 .

Most indicated speeds prove to about 15 % out at the higher end of the clock
