Thanks for the feedback and the general tips, it seems my friends experience was a rare one. He has replaced all his gear with Rukka - which i cant afford anyway, so its pointless him telling me thats all he would wear now!

I was looking at the HG Tricky or Cruise Jacket, the comments everyone has made are reassuring.

I bought a Cruise jacket recently and overall I'm very happy with it.

Couple of things though:

- Until I spent some time mucking around with the various straps, press-studs, zips, etc. the jacket would "bunch up" whenever I tried to tuck in over the tank. I seem to have sorted this out though

- Found that the jacket is not really very compatible with the HG weather gloves I have - I think that the jacket's sleeves should be made a bit wider at the ends in order to more easily accommodate the gloves' aprons.
