Silly question - Upside-Down Forks
Discussion
The spring & internals part are in the top so stay still whilst the (lighter) tube moves up and down, meaning less unsprung weight (weight that moves up & down with the wheel) which makes the suspension work better, also the thicker part is held in the yokes so upside-down forks are stiffer, which can also mean that for the same required stiffness they could be lighter - basically make a bike handle & stop better which is why all sport/race bikes use them.
