The thought of this happening makes me feel sick, just having lessons and its happened once already, I was leaving the industrial estate after practising U turns and some old giffer drove out in front of me, luckily I was going quite slow heehee.
Another day I popped into Tesco for a warm up and a pee, some old giffer stopped and began to reverse straight into a space and me!! I was beeping and paddling back like mad ( which isn't easy at 5'2) and he still had no idea! Yes, I could probably predicted him reversing into the space but being new on the bike I was thinking about lots of things and expecting him to use his mirrors. frown

Still hasn't put me off, just keep thinking, how stupid can they be and they'll probably do it!

Oh and "Its not when I come off, it's how bad frown"

I use this as a general philosophy on the roads, not just on a bike. It still doesn't stop me getting caught in 'situations', but who's to say how many more I might get into if I didn't think 'what if...?' as often as I do.

Classics, like drivers who switch lanes on roundabouts. You know they're going to do it, you give them room to do it, they do it, and when you get past they look at you like you just landed from Mars. Not a thought that you might have just saved their life/ your life/ kittens from being raped.

I had a youing lady pull out in front of me as i crossed a roundabout. anchors on, and front went out before i came to a stop, just shy of her door. Sore wrist and shoulder, but she suggested it was nothing a few drinks wouldn't fix. Took me out, got me drunk, made me feel her boobs.

Bent rear brake lever, otherwise bike was ok.

Nice boobs.

That is easily the fastest way to screw over your insurance company. If they say that, theres no going back for their insurers. Plain and simple admission of fault. hehe
I always lead any conversation so they say it 'what did you do that for?/Sorry mate, didn't see you there'

Hmmmm, I've read it a couple of times in here and you haven't seen the driving up here, I'm sure most of the old biddies have been driving since cars were invented and haven't progressed much since then, it's bloody frightening!
However, I don't intend to come off, my mum would be so mad laugh
