Next year I want to :

Have the g/f on the back of the bike and be comfy with this.
Generally get out on bike a lot more ( 1st full spring summer ahead of me)
Maybe upgrade bike.

Lets hear if you guys acheieved what you wanted and any resolutions that you may have.

Cheers.

I’ve had a pretty good year;
1. New job in Feb.
2. Bought first ever brand new car in March
3. Started racing in April
4. New baby in July
5. Found new home in October (move in Jan)
6. Quit smoking in Nov.
7. Secured the main two 2008 race sponsors in Dec.

Loads of other good bits but they were the key elements of my year smile

2008 should see more racing, a new bike and a fully kitted out workshop smile

Ups.

Rode from Dijon to Wimbledon in one go, in time to watch the Heineken Cup final at Twickers.

Building works on the house are finished.

Persuaded the War Dept to let me install cable TV. (Sports Heaven) 7 bloody years this has taken me.

Eldest Daughters BF has got trial for England U16s Rugby.

Shot a gross 79 on the Golf course.

Downs

Am much poorer due to house extension.

Cannot ride sports bikes anymore due to knee being knackered.

Stupid things.

Got home late the (03.30) other day drunk and set off burglar alarm. redcard from wife and neighbours and sadly my recollection of the previous few hours is hazy but it must have been good as I managed to spend £200+. I am assurd by my mates the girls all scored 10's and danced wonderfully.

Ups:
Did car trackday at Bedford on a Lotus Day but with me not in a Lotus wink - loved it to bits and prooved my car is quickish in a straight line but rubbish round the bends. Had passenger ride in mates Elise conceeded that I needed an elise trackday spec car. (I don't do bike days anymore before anyone asks - I'm looking to perfect my car track driving as you really can't enjoy them at all on the road anymore)

Flogged my 99 R6 to a mechanic at the place I use to service it just by calling them on the off chance.

Buying my mates immaculate 5k mile 2003 CBR600F for mates rates price.

Getting Bike FC insurance for less than £500 for the first time since my gsxr600 was nicked in 2005.

Halved my commute by moving to the Southbank in London - yes no more oval/stockwell/clapham/wandsworth dodgy drivers. Lots of other additional benefits now working in a large office building i.e. making new friends wink

Visited China and US for Holidays and US again for work.

Minimal number of punctures on the bike this year.

Street Triple test ride

Brilliant central london weighted payrise/benefits in April and promotion about 3 weeks ago in my job!

Downs
Major grief and hassle with certain projects at work in July/August

Didn't do anymore car trackdays

Didn't buy Elise track car (yet)

Didn't order a new bike (yet)
