2007 Ups:

Learnt Stand-up wheelies (Private Road).
Hit 190mph (on clock) on German Autobahns.
Rode 2000 miles to Sachsenring and back to see MotoGP (900 miles in one day on return leg).
Surviving the Brussels ring road.
Survived a 190mph front tyre de-lamination (this was nice).
Enjoyed numerous Track Days at Silverstone.
Wasting two sets of sliders at Easter Track Day.
Realising that a 600 can cut it on track against the big bikes.
Seeing JT win the championship.
Getting back in touch with my father after so many years.
Enjoying another year of married bliss.

2007 Downs:

Destroyed my pride and joy crashing at 1XX with my knee on the ground on a private slip road and throwing it at Armco.
Realising that when travelling at 190mph the bike needs fuel every 80 miles.
Rear tyres don't last forever.
Watching the most boring year of MotoGP.

2008 Wishes:

The transition to track-only riding on a 600 hopefully will ensure I dont get bored.
Not getting bored of a 600 and hankering after the latest and greatest litre beast (must not listen to the voices).
European Track Day.
More UK track days.
Look into becoming an instructor.
Decorate the spare bedroom.
Finish Conservatory Doors.

Eventually got a Gixer thou…wanted one for a few years now…and a new one at that, big deal for me as I don’t get the chance to buy a new bike that often, like once or twice a decade..

Screwing the dealers to the 10th degree and getting an awesome deal.

The girlfriend is more into bikes than ever.

Lots of great rides outs, London to Brighton Run in September being one of the most memorable, Northampton to Sunny Hunny being another.

Got a new job(found out today in fact!)

Lows?

Selling the busa which never let me down and has given me nothing but great memories.

Occasionally the ex and access to my child but that’s by and large sorted

Selling my BMW (5 series)to part fund the GSXR

Went on holiday to Majorca..which kept me away from my bike!

Roll on 2008!!!

Ohhh meant to say in my original post that my main resolution for next year is to buy a dictionary and learn how to speel.

Reading my posts im disgusted in myself - you'd have thought I spent my skool days drooling over pictures of bikes instead of learning something.

Can speak great french though....Miss Cowie was a hottie....always fancied my chances with her....cest la vie!

Got a new speed triplesmile
Because I threw my SV up the road at low speed and it was no longer perfectfrown
Got marriedsmile
Paid for the weddingyikes
Made a start on my old BMW tourer re-buildsmile
Am nowhere near finishing my BMW tourer re-buildfrown

Next year the speed triple will become a tourer with a fairly minimalist amount of clothes in a small Kreiga pack and I'm going abroad. Somewhere twisty.

Then I got to do boring stuff to the house, and finish the tourer.

Bike Highs:
First track day at Brands - what a fun day out biggrin
Rode to Munich via the Alps and miles of empty French RN

Bike lows:
Rode to Munich via the Alps with shedloads of snow and boring motorway
Still haven;t got my old KTM running...

Real life stuff:
High - married life is brilliant (mostly)
Low - forced out of my job by serious family politics, now involved with employment tribunals, possible high court actions. furious

But, had an interview today for a decent job that might take me in a new direction...
