Hope someone can answer this..
I have to store my bike (ZZR600), outside under a cover, on it's centre stand, so it's subject to cold & damp. After a lay-up of 4-5 wks I decided to blast to cobwebs off & go for a hurl. She started fine, but I noticed that, curiously, (in neutral) the rear wheel started spinning..! Other than that, she performed fine, & the clutch felt normal; I was just interested to know why that should happen...anybody know?

While its on its centre stand? I think that's pretty normal if you can stop it with your hand and its only spinning slowly. Most bikes do it but I don't know why.

This is quite normal as previous posters have mentioned, and is caused by the clutch plates not fully disengaging due to cold oil. When the oil is fully up to temperature the effect is lessened.

You should see motocross bikes, when they've got a freshly rebuilt clutch and gearbox, if you rev them in neutral they'll creep along with the rider on..
