OK,

My son has a newish RV125 Van Van and fancies a tom tom bike Sat nav, which are around £300, however I am wondering about the connection to the bike battery, which is concealed behind the side panel....

Anybody know if there is a permanent mini lead supplied with the tom tom to attatch to the terminals with a snap connecter at the end.... or does he have to mess about removing the seat to gain access to the battery every time he wants to use it, utilising crocodile clips??

Thanks in anticipation....biggrin

well i have no experience of bike tom toms. But you can charge car ones at home, and the battery lasts quite a while

i would assume you can get a cradle with charging points attached?
or just stick two wires on the batter with generic multi-plug on the end then modify the end of the tomtom lead to suit?

OK Thanks...smile

I now understand it comes with a short cable which permanantly fixes to the two battery terminals, with a snap connector on the other end....also, as you say, a re-chargeable battery that lasts around five hours...

The main difference with the bike ones of course is they are waterproof....(hopefully)...
