Might make an appearance. Any chance of getting this topic stuck mods, until the date arrives?

To the topic of BiB's on bikes....niceest guys I've ever met. They seem to be keen on supporting bikers in general, and appear to take an understandable attitude when we sometimes do those things we do!!

I should probably point out that the Jerez GP is on the 30th. As is my birthday.

How do I prioritise? smile

Went to last year's show at Cheltenham - a good ride from North Wales and an enjoyable day out. Highly recommended!

Ooh...Hendon, must go to that then, been a long time since I was last there, will be a bit of nostalgia.....appropiately, only a few months ago, whilst sorting out some old family documents, I came across my late father's Hendon Met.Driving school LMCC passing certificate from way back in 1961.....

Sounds like you guys are active about wanting better training for riders. I e-mailed Fife constabulary about going on Bikesafe with them months ago - never even bothered to reply - had to sell bike now anyway...but I'll wait for their reply eventually - good see some forces actually care.

I see they have a Skid Pan demonstration. Is this a display of skill or the ongoing saga of problems with the big tourer???

If you mean the ST1300, I hear it's cobblers smile They keep blaming the 'Police equipment' for causing instability. How is this mythical 'equipment' heavier than an 18 stone pillion and a full set of panniers, which plenty of civvy riders regularly carry without incident? The only addition that MAY cause an issue is an add-on siren which MAY upset the airflow. Solution: fit a smaller siren rolleyes
Otherwise, admit defeat and give all the ST1300's to civvies who'll show the Police how to ride them properly. biggrin

All hearsay of course. Allegedly. Don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger.

Police carry a hell of a lot of equipment in the luggage which is only rated to about 20kg total.

The panniers are solidly mounted to the subframe, a pillion is not. Decoupled masses have a much lesser effect on stability.

Not unless they add a whole lot of Meccano to the standard panniers they aren't.

I went on Saturday, with Oggs.

Pissed down in the afternoon but still a good day.

My only complaint is that there wasn't enough security.

Went with my 9 year old lad on Saturday - we had a cracking day.

They had a mini riding school for kids which he went on. At the end he was issued with a driving license which looks just like Dads driving license!!!111!!1 He is absolutely over the moon with it and thinks he's a driving god!
If any of those guys on the Honda kids riding school stand are reading this - you certainly made his day. Thank you.

The wall of death show was incredible. First time I've seen one and we were both very impressed.

Went to a couple of the BikeSafe talks in the auditorium which were good, if a little biased to 'stating the obvious'.

The trade stalls were a bit disappointing. Shame about the state of the walkways as well - they were sinking into the mud and it was becoming awfully messy!! I bet by Sunday it was a mud bath.

We will definently go again next yeat.
