Heh, I actually got to use them properly for the first time on Sunday and they're just like wearing slippers. Supremely comfortable and have great feeling. I recommend them smile

lol, you really need to lose your Daytona obsession. I'm sure they're great, they have a great reputation but my feet feel a lot more comfortable in Supertechs and I have no undue concerns about them holding up in the event of a crash.

Be careful not to dazzle oncoming traffic with your hi-viz boots.

I'm not obsessed, I just value being able to know I will be able to walk after a big crash scratchchin As I said in another post, most 'fashion' based stuff is ste quality.... You pays yer money and all that.....

PS have you ever tried a pair of Dayonas on (any model)?
PPS Get highsided at over 100mph and let me know how your ankle holds up when it hits the deck?

Yes, I've tried Daytonas. If you read my posts you'll be able to see that I've twice stated that they aren't a good fit for me, in the same way I can't use a Shoei helmet. Have you tried 2008 Supertechs? At what point did they fall apart?

Also, on the shelf infront of me I have a pair of 2006 Supertechs which were on Casey Stoner's feet when he rode into Sete Gibernau at the end of the 2006 season. His RC211V landed on his right foot. I know for a fact Stoner's boots and gloves (with the exception of the boot he wore at Mugello in 2007) are standard factory items, as are Pedrosa's, though Nicky Hayden's aren't. The boots can't be used again but they're intact and this gives me all the confidence I need to use my massively inferior and dangerous boots.

I never said anything will fall apart. I was infering their ability to prevent a twisting injury to the ankle. This is different to Stoner's bike landing on your foot in your Supertechs.

Your feet at the end of the day. Each to their own. Peace. hippy

Aren't the Supertechs a copy of the Daytonas (hinged inner boot + flexible outer? So should provide a similar level of protection against a twisting ankle injury.
