Guys...
Having managed to fail my test a couple of weeks ago...missing a 40 -> 30 speed limit change of all things I've managed to get a last minute test booked for later this week.
The only snag is it's in Oxford rather than Reading (where I've done my training & previous test).
Now in theory this shouldn't make any difference, and in some ways might actually improve things as I'll have to concentrate on the road, rather than slipping into "test mode" on routes I know well, however can anyone local suggest any of the local pitfalls on the regular routes?
Thanks
Paul

Not a bad route, better than Reading I would imagine - just watch out for all the students on pushbikes!
Might be worth marking the route out on Goodle maps and driving it a few times.
Good luck.

I passed in Oxford!
Its an Ok route, well it was - may have changed now. Basically local roads round the test centre for the u turn, emergency stop etc, depending on your test time these roads will be empty - v little traffic moves outside school pick up / drop off. Then out through Littlemore so you can pick up the dual carriageway back into Oxford then up passed Sainsbury's. Sorry don't know the name of the roads but its the dual carriageways that head you up to the mini factory site.
Two things, on the way back into Oxford you will turn right at a big roundabout, can be v busy, as you head up the dual carriageway pay attention to the instructions as there are lanes on that road that direct you off different exits at roundabouts. Its simple but easy to make a mistake, a mate failed his test for going straight on in a lane marked left on that road. If you get in the wrong lane and can't get out, take the exit the lane is sending you down - you fail for going the wrong way!!!
About a third of the way through the test there is a speed restriction to go through which is pretty narrow, be aware of cars coming the other way. I nearly cocked up hugely there. Other than that all good!!!
