What chance has this bike of making production? And how much will they change it if it does do you think?

Stunning bit of kit. Love it.

I'd be willing to trade the CB1300 for that (so long as my back would take it)

Really... if it stays looking like the prototype, could be very interested!

It kinda reminds me of this, which they, sadly, never built.

I'd put money on the production version not looking nearly as trick as that.

Ghastly, absolutely ghastly.

The front fairing looks like a "B" movie robot, the indicators in the mirror stalks just look stupid; the whole thing looks like a garden shed lash up.

And to think people on this forum slated the new Fireplace...

I think it's weak point for me are the lights, a little 'Dr Who' but the rest i love.

I'm a certain age now where i remember, indeed owned an original VF400, GPz1100 etc.. This style of bike appeals more and more rather than the itsy bitsy 20,000 rpm super bikes.

Must be getting old. smile

I for one hope they do put it into production, it would sell like hot cakes!

this and the cb1000r (single sided swingarm firebalde engined naked) will be put in to production just as shown in the concept bikes, we have been told expect an october launch and a general announcement at the dn-01 launch.

The tail piece looks wrong to me. It looks 'sportsbike' whereas the rest is 'retro/muscle bike'.

It's a refreshing change to the usual 1000cc race-rep style, where all 4 of the main players' top bikes could have been made by any one of them.
Nice bike.

I like it, this would be the first "purely air-cooled" sports/race bike since when ?
Agree with the seat opinion posted above,
I would like to see some kind of "egli-butterfly-style" solo hump,
with an oil cooler sticking out on top..........idea
I am also impressed by the way almost all cables and hoses
are kept out of sight, looks [retrowrite]super-sano[/retrowrite].
Cheers,
Benni
