My 1st bike was a GSXR 600 K2. A lovely machine indeed. They love to rev and don't have a huge quantity of torque, so unless you are really gunning it they aren't stupidly fast. They turn increadibly quickly and are light as a feather, so not particularly intimidating at all. My ZX636R is much more of a handfull.

To ride a GSXR is to love one. Enjoy.

I had a K1 GSXR600 and it made a very good road bike. As others have said, they don't have loads of torque but handle very smoothly. They have a suppleness which suits UK roads.

The bike will be the least of your worries when you pass your test. Do some extra training.

I had a Bandit as my first bike, and then a GSXR6 K3 new 7 months later

I don't think i would have pushed the GSXR as much as i did if i hadn't had the bandit first.

BTW Blue & White is faster

I also had never ridden anything other than the school bikes. I passed and the same day bought a ZX636. Had it 7 moths now and have been fine on it.

Just had to
