Wouldn't have thought you have had too much of a problem, as you are 'average' height. Chest size doesn't impact how well the protector should cover your spine/fit the jacket. I'd suggest you look around for a model which offers different lengths. From memory, know offer a touring range, which are not as long as their 'race' range, and may suit you better?

ive got one of the cheapo £15 ones from Lidl last year. comes with a big velcro kidney belt & never moves. might not be the best protection but it has to be better than nothing.

I've tried tucking it down my leathers but it doesn't improve it, only makes it worse.
Do you have the belt part of it down your trousers too? For me, I had to put all of that "belt" just tucked in the trousers otherwise it rode up. Maybe the trousers help hold it there, or maybe the belt used to be pushed up by the trousers, either way it works. Oh and also i had to lengthen the "braces" on it (the straps) a lot more than I expected, again see if that helps.

I just remember how long I struggled with it, not realising that it could actually fit until I did the above!
