Does anyone know of a company they would recommend for european recovery for my bike in the event of an rtc or breakdown.Im with the rac and they have helpfully informed me that they will not recover me in the event of an rtc and my insurance company have said they will not recover me as i did not take out recovery as an option.Failing that how much does it cost to post a bike back in bits. smile

I'm insured with Swintons and have just joined thier European recovery as well. £40 for repair/recovery anywhere in europe for up to 3 callouts per year. Don't even have to have insurance with them to get it either. LEss than half what the RAC wanted to cover me.

Worst case is you have to hire a van one way and pay for the ferry

Funnily enough that did cross my mind.It would probably mean i get the bike back home quicker as well.Hopefully it will not come to needing any of the above.
Thanks also to Biker's Nemesis and RizzoTheRat i will give them both a bell and see what they can sort me out with.
