I was wrong....

Picked up bike today, rode 6 miles home, steering started to feel twitchy again, pulled up, soft again, went off to find a foot pump, by the time I got back it was totally flat!!
Bike shop came to pick me and bike up after work, replaced tyre. £73.

Been for a 60 miles bimble just now biggrin

:memo to self: Don't allow short cuts on bike stuff

Glad you didn't do yourself some damage finding out short cuts aren't worth it.

I'm going to pick up 2 brand new Dragon Super Corsas on Sunday. Couldn't bring myself to repair it considering the speeds and loads you can get to (on track)

I know, Im pretty annoyed he told me a repair would be fine!!! Had a ride out to break in my new tyre and luckily I don't feel more scared than I did before, it's all coming together now.

Another lesson to add to the list!

putting that ste in your tyre was a shortcut that most peeps wouldnt even consider.

A decent repair / plug is not a short cut .

It's not a choice I made, I've been riding 3 months, I took the advice of the main bike shop in Moray, had I had more experience my choice would be different and it certainly will be in future.

Just pick up a plug kit from any dealer , probably about £20.

Its so easy to do and will more than get you home .
