After crashing my ZXR750 L3 I thought getting parts for it would be reasonably easy.

I have the control levers, a few odds and sods from Kawasaki, but they now don't do screen frames, airbox feeds and a few little pieces I eventually found.

Getting the bodywork is proving to be a real pain and my time in the UK is very limited due to work. I loved riding the bike and eventually it will be back on the road but sadly now it looks like I wont ride it again till after christmas.

So, is it worth buying a second bike? I don't want to go trawling through bike dealerships when I get back as I have lots of things I need to do and also it would be nice to get some Dave time, which I was intending to do on the bike.

So, would buying a bike worth around 2000 pounds be suicidal without seeing it? I'd still love a 900SS, whether it be the newer 2001 shape or the better looking 1995 shape. I just want to get out riding again now my shoulder is 99% healed and ready to go. The only bits I need to buy are jacket and helmet. The jacket is not a problem as I found a nice Rev-It jacket which will tie into my trousers, helmet i'll look into when i'm home, but finding a black helmet in my size and that's comfortable can't be too hard I would have thought?

So, stupid idea or not?

Dave!

For clothing just go to one of the bigger bike stores that stock a good range, this will make trying on helmets eaiser and help to find one that fits correctly, they should carry a better stock of colours.

Cheers guys.

I saw the front fairing panels on there before. Sadly the triangular piece which holds the panels together they don't have or the tail unit.

I may end up getting the 3 panels they have though as the quality seems higher than most.

Being a rotund gentleman I think trusting the zip would be foolhardy, so i'm using washing line to hold the ensemble together laugh
