Is that Lotus's HQ in the background?
The blue shed is where the blue cars are built. The white one is where the white ones are bulit. We had to paint the blue shed metallic this morning; bloody fancy paint schemes.

The MOT place really was a step back in time; the brake test involved the man sitting on the bike on a platform with the brakes on, and getting his 80 year old dad to lift the back of it up with a trolley jack. There was a mark on the post to tell him when it was at the right angle to be a pass hehe

Changed my rear pegs back to my other exhaust hangers, seeing as my wife won't come on the back of the GSXR. Crap phone pics, and not all that exciting. But there you go.smile

Been enjoying a few run outs after work recently.

Noticed that I get a extra 15 miles (75 miles to a full tank) from v-power over normal fuel (60 miles to a tank). Unfortunately I found out that half way down the Helmsley TT (for those of you who know it), thank god for a big reserve tank!

I get more mpg in the car using that stuff too. Have used it in my bike but never take much notice of mpg.
Getting a joke now though at 7 quid a gallon. A ride out on the bike at the weekend used to be cheap fun. Factor in a full english and at least a tank of juice and it starts getting pricey. Still worth it though. bring on the good weather!

On more than one occasion I have thought of going for scenic day ride then backed out when I thought about the £40 in petrol it would cost to see sights I have already seen.

This year I am skipping trackdays and will do more street rides though.

A cathartic post from me.

It's just over a week since I lost someone special. Someone who wasn't in my pocket, but someone who introduced me to so many things. We shared many things together, she opened my eyes from my very blinkered northern views, and we travelled the world together taking in a whole slice of what the different cultures could throw at us. Although I had been riding bikes long before her, the bugger got her licence in the UK before me. With her push, I decided to go legal.

We did lots of bikey stuff abroad, including touring Oz on a big beemer in 97, and before our divorce, a number of MCN butlin piss ups and BSB weekends.

We went out for ages, but was only married for a short while. I've never been good with paperwork.

Here's some library pics of the bikes she owned

I rode the Shadow to it's MOT and managed to get chucked off it, a complete piece of st. I furcking hated it and managed to get her to test drive something different. Unfortunately, after completely ferking up the demonstrator Monster through redlining it everywhere, she never allowed me to touch her 750 Dark. She changed her cans for Boss (?) cans which were the loudest fkers I'd heard on a Duke

Anyway, things moved on, and we moved on. We continued in our paths and both found happiness with different partners, but never allowing ourselves to become a typical ex husband and wife scenario with all the acronomy attached to it.

A fantastic women. A great weekend mum to my daughter, and I'm sure a brilliant mum to her own sons, who have been robbed of someone special.

Rest in peace Caroline xx.

Tony, I'm very sorry to hear of her passing - you clearly shared many good memories together.

I am sorry I haven't read this post before now. I saw the cruiser and Ducati in the pictures and just dismissed it as a st boring post.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks guys

It has been a tough week, both sad and emotional, but I had a few glasses of vino at work yesterday and we all know what that does to our defences!!

Mitzy has been a star and very supportive which has helped enormously.

Although I was ever so slightly pissed, spilling my guts has helped me. It's not closure yet, but I feel closer to that.

Poor lass was only 43.
