So.... how is it?
Very good thanks.220 miles in and I'm just starting to get use to the judder and the feeling when you pull off that your in the wrong gear and labouring the engine, although that does disappear when you get the revs up higher.
Still got to stick to 6000 revs until the 600 mile service though.
Paintworks a doddle to keep clean, at the moment, but am looking into the Ventureshield / Armourfend options. Just don't know how they'll look on matte black.
Here's a few pics from collection day.
Theres a test on the Dark in one of the bike mags this month, same lump in as the standard 848 just save money on the non gloss finish, I think it looks stunning the only thing they slated it for was the finish means it gets scratched and stone chipped easy so you suggesting the armour finish on it would be a good idea, get that done prevention is better than cure.

I've got the new 'Ventureshield Matte' on order as we speak. Not many people have heard of it as it's not for general sale yet, but I've been lucky to get hold of some. Guess it's due to the increase in matte finished vehicles. When I get round to it I'll probably do a write up on how easy it is to fit, what I thought of it, and some before and after pics that I'll stick on a little site I knocked up. www.848dark.co.uk

What's the story behind the 'dark' branding?
Been around for about 10 years or so. I think it was originally used on models that were getting updated. It was a cheap way of 'facelifting' old stock.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
