The dealer said they have a cancelled order coming in next week in BMW racing colours. I wonder how much scratchchin
Williams BMW have a pair of HP2 Sports in motorsport colours. They are far, far cooler than the S1000RR, and probably far more comfortable for someone of your height. smile

It's not a true BMW if it doesn't cost at least a few grand more than the competition for no apparent reason.
Thats what i was going to say, all the BMW bikes are expensive for what they are
You are both forgetting that when you buy a BMW you are not just buying a bike.

You are buying into an ownership experience, which includes (but not exclusively):

1, awful aftersales service. (some dealers excepted)
2, the gladiatorial 'attempts to over charge for service' face off. (some dealers excepted)
2, the exclusive 'what's going to break next' tombola....drawn weekly through the year.
3, the standard salesmans 'used values are stable and higher' box of crap.
4, the smug knowledge that you have a bushier beard than should be considered normal.
5, the joy of knowing everyone thinks you bought one cos of that tit off the telly with the famous dad.

The Motrad dealer I talked to said he was alloted 44 S100RR's for the year and reckoned he could sell twice that but couldn't raise his allocation.

Never really sure how much to believe when talking to dealers, but considering I called his bluff by walking away if my cash in hand didn't shorten the waiting list, I would say ......possibly.
They are the bike of the moment, and next year the Japs will be back with something new and flash, as they always do.
So, I would say the are make the most of the situation while they have it.
