P.S. Sorry Craig, you sound slightly touchy on the subject so probably not time for jokes just yet - eek. Not going to be on the Christmas card thingy for awhile it seems. Only go to Cadwell once a year so you've missed your chance this year.....
maybe i shouldnt have bitten like that either. and yes, it is sore, but i have a good bunch of mates around me who are happy to lend me there bikes once the race season is finish, so i might get a run out in the winter snow....Edited by Castrol Craig on Wednesday 16th June 22:11
I had a new set of Pirelli superbike slicks fitted for croft a couple of weeks back SC2 rear and SC1 front.
TBO I can't tell if there's any grip advantage over the road going equivalents in the same compounds.
What I do notice is that they seem to last a bit longer grip wise than the treaded. (well they do for me)
I only buy One set a year to use for the Croft days, with the 09 R1 eating tyres I fit the track treaded tyres to the road bike after I've used them on track.
I'd say go for the slicks and see what you think, they should last you the 2 days no problem at all.
As Brewester said earlier I set the pressures hot, 31 front and 27.5 rear, that was on the advice of a mate who races.
