The full beam Idea is good but the Busa headlight tends to blister the paint on the car infront if they dunt get out of the way kwik enuff
Must admit tho they cars that do give you room n let you past alway but always get a thankyou wave only polite innnit

hear hear!

It is courteous to give a wave (or something) if a car deliberately moves to one side or ackowledges you though....

I dont think full beam is a bright idea (hehe).

After driving in my car during the day or night with a bike approaching avec full beam, granted the bike is seen instantly, but I find my retinas take a good five minutes to recover. People definitely see you coming though.

I have opted for a slightly different track, that of blue sidelights. The most noticeable colour in a rear view mirror is blue for obvious reasons (police?). I didnt fancy the Halfords boy racer blue headlights, so I tried the sidelights which mixes with the dipped beam.

I think having a bright yellow bike helps the visual cause.

PS. Where have all the nodders gone this season?

- anecdote: got into the Bora the other day after a blast on the Duke. As the missus and I were travelling down a single carriageway, a group of bikes came past us. The missus had to ask what I was nodding my head at. Oops, habit!!

Should have made it clear that I only use main beam in daytime, to filter between lanes on a dual carriageway.

The intention is never to dazzle but to make your presence more obvious - honest!

Nearly moved up to Kirbymoorside about 10 yrs ago! Used to go out to Sherburn & accros to the devils bridge (Kirby Lonsdale), but live in London now, so a bit of a trek. also don't ride on the road anymore!
