Errrm, I'm not sure, but I think Jon' conversion is Zertec.

The silver Chimaera in the previous has no raised "bumper" portion at the rear. It doesn't have the black rubber 'bumper' strip because the owner has had it removed – he has also had the updated lights and also the smaller light fitments at the front. It has also been resprayed.

Did it myself. Took about an hour to physically fit the Hella units into the GRP pods using Sikaflex (black sticky stff in a tube), then another 45 minutes or so to install the lot into the car.
The scariest moment was cutting off the Ford multi-way plug from the lighting system loom (no way back!) and the best was turning on all the lights and realising that it all worked the way it was supposed to, first time out.
I'll see if can take some pics over the next day or so.
That'll be excellent if you post some as mine is the same colour as yours. And Marlboro's is starmist green.
Presume you got the GRP pods sprayed up locally? Approx cost of that? Service from Zertec – OK I hope. Clear instructions etc.

Manek received an early version of the kit which required the customer to insert and bond the lights in place. When I saw how many of the taillights we were selling I decided that a modification was needed to make fitting easier. Now the lights come ready assembled in the pod and, to use Manek's timings as an example, he would only have needed 45 minutes to fit the lights in the car. If you would like a copy of the fitting instructions prior to ordering the lights please e-mail me at info@zertec.co.uk and I will send you an Adobe Acrobat file of the instructions.
As standard the lights are supplied in black satin pods to match the flanges that already exist where the lights fit. Most people have opted for this route as it is simple (and cheaper) however the pods can be painted to match the body colour of the car.
I have recently purchased a set of afterburners from Zertec but have yet to fit them. I will get them fitted very shortly at next service.
However I do like the look of the painted pods and would like to do this with mine prior to fitting - is there a special paint needed for this (colour will be Antique Turquoise Starmist) and where would you get it from?

I saw them in the flesh last week when Manek overtook me on the M25.
They completly transform the look of the rear (although that may have something to do with the different exhausts too) but look a professional enough job.
Not sure if they do it for me (sorry Manek!) but like most things (Tuscan/Tamora) they probably look better every time you see them.

Hey, that's the great thing about these cars -- every car and every owner is different! Still wouldn't be seen dead in a yellow one though.
1. Just work your way through the various light switches until one of the wires goes live, then connect it to the appropriate lead from the new light cluster.
2. Don't assume that, just because e.g. the green and purple wire on the left-hand side activates the brake lights, it's the same on the other: it's not!
3. Repeat until finished.
