1. Just work your way through the various light switches until one of the wires goes live, then connect it to the appropriate lead from the new light cluster.
2. Don't assume that, just because e.g. the green and purple wire on the left-hand side activates the brake lights, it's the same on the other: it's not!
3. Repeat until finished.

Surely though the instructions have to say 'connect blue wire to red wire' don't they? Or am I under a missaprehension?

They look the part! Mine's Starmist Blue too - well worth investigating, presumably easy to replace.

And is that a boot spoiler???

Presume you got the GRP pods sprayed up locally? Approx cost of that?

I too would like to know this prior to fitting mine. Has anyone else here painted their afterburners? If so how did you do it and what type of paint did you use?

As Mikey said I would like to see these units in the flesh or even fitted to a Chimaera. I live in Guildford so if anyone nearby is willing to show me they're Zertec's it would be appreciated. Before you ask I've used this as a chat-up line and it dosen't work.

The fitting info is well useful. I didn't realise the wiring loom was so variable, but then why should that be different from the rest of the car.

Each to their own, but the spoiler and the stick on plates above the exhausts? I'd guess you'd be younger than 25 then?

Brian, I live in Guildford and am having Afterburners fitted to my Black Chim next week by David Batty at the Garage Compton

Would be happy to show you. Also having some nice new badges fitted.

I decided to get someone else to do it, as I'm technically challenged !

aorchard,

I think there may be a few of us who may be interested in seeing your new Zertec lights. Why not join the M3 clan on Wed 05 June for a spin, and show them off? We're meeting at the Old Barn near Pantiles in Bagshot from 19:00...

aorchard,

Sent you an e-mail but guess it may have gone awol.

Was your Black Chim the one I followed on Sunday through Shalford towards the re-faced Drummond Arms ?

I was driving the dirty Starmist Green Chim behind you.

Brian.

Some pics of afterburner lights (painted the black pods myself) fitted to the Cerb.

Dan, When you're ready to sell your car and get that Tuscan R , then just ring me – cos I'll have it – that colour is gorgeous!

Did you fit the pods yourself? On a 1-10 scale – how easy?

Hi Mike, will let you know when I'm ready to sell! I think the colour is one of the best I've seen on a TVR (Antique Turquoise), although I like some of the Chameleon colours. Tuscan R in chameleon orange with 20" anthracite alloys next?

Afterburners - took one look at the instructions and decided to take it to the dealer to fit. I was too much of a coward to attempt it myself, although I dare say anyone with a decent grasp of car mechanics (i.e not me!) would find it easy. Hexham HC charged me £110 to fit and said it normally takes them 6 hours to do. Was worth it though as the end result looks spot on (IMO) especially with the pods painted in the car's colour

All the best, Dan
