Help. I have just developed a steering problem. If you turn the wheel its very notchy. Its like it has its PAS working for 15 degrees and then not for the next 15. It happens lock to lock. I may have seized a ball joint somewhere over the weekend because I jet washed the chasis for a waxoil session. How do I check this and how do I prove its not the pump. Help! Anyone experienced this? 4.0l 1995 Chim.

Steering column UJs. Problem waxoyled so they won't rust but now are sticky. Clean with WD40 and spray grease. Use a gaiter of some kind to retain grease - steering rack universal one is ideal.
