Well firstly Steve it wasn't you who I was remarking on - I know you have been sprinting/racing TVR's for ages so your input is always worthwhile, I'm also pleased to see you say handling can improve if the car is set-up properly. I was just making the comment that it is the people who clearly have no idea what a Griffith on 17"/18" wheels actually feels like are the ones telling Gerjio not to do it because handling will suffer.
p.s. Just got back from a 140 round-trip down to Havant thouroughly enjoyed myself, Griff ran like a treat and no my fillings didn't drop out Rich...

Gerjo,
I saw your car last friday in Zolder, and it looks fantastic. With these wheels, your Griffith has all
the presence of the later TVR models (Tuscan - Tamora).
IMHO, This says a lot about the timeless design of the Griffith : just by upgrading the wheels, it looks like a 2002 modelyear car.
BTW, I have 16" and 17" on my Chimaera, and I really
can't say that it ruins the ride and handling of the
car.

What is that new trend for ridiculous big wheels??
Excuse me but nothing can prevent me from making the "max power" comparison
Thom the thing about big wheels is Brakes in most cases for example on the XKR R you can not have the standard 18" wheels because the brake disks are too big and need to have the 20" wheels fitted , and they look the bollocks as well
