You can also use Bosch Gen 11 that have the groove for the circlip in them as per original Lucas type (Gen 111 don't) or my favourite, the yellow top Ford Motorsport C302 as fitted to 4.6/5.0 Mustangs.

Wow, $210.00 for a set of 8!

Am I reading that correctly?

Even with a bit of shipping they could work out about the same as buying a set used Vectra ones and having them reconditioned.

Although I'm a fan of my Vectra injectors, at that price for brand new quality injectors I'd say these yellow tops are an absolute no brainer.

Am I right in saying they are actually Bosch 280150943?

If so I believe they have 4-hole style nozzle.

Which should be a further improvement over my Vectra twin hole nozzles.

Very tempting lick

Thread resurrection time...
I was green laning recently and the passenger of the other vehicle mentioned fitting better modern injectors to my car's engine, these being the Vectra red topped type. I made an enquiry with an injector supplier who suggested the EV6.

The engine is a standard 3.9 with distributor ignition via lumenition. If I fitted the EV6 who is currently a good vendor for any remapping which might be required?

"Anyone installed these injectors?"

I installed a set like these from Five 0 a few years ago and they improved the car immediately. They were a direct replacement for the Range Rover 195cc.

Still got them and will be keeping them as a standby as changing to MS and have a full set of Vectra injectors ready to go in.

Thank you Belle, Jams!

No modifications to the fuel map needed, Jams?

I have a 400HC and they were running on a completely standard car. No mods whatsoever.

I have been looking into injectors too.

There is seller on eBay called “Bavarian works” who properly reconditions Bosch injectors.
I have asked him many questions and he is extremely helpful.
He lists a set of refurbished injectors for a standard Rover V8 which will work without any remapping and are a fraction of the cost of new ones. It I should th stouter I will go down when th Time comes. Maybe worth a look?

Regards Chris.

I recently bought a set of refurbished 30ib (315cc) bosch injectors from them. Great service and were cheaper than getting my previous set cleaned and flow tested. If your looking on Ebay for injectors, beware of the cheap Chinese bosch copies.

That’s encouraging.

Apologies for all the typing errors in my last post, I am really useless with typing!

Out of curiosity what sort of engine spec have you got for the 315cc injectors? Is that too big a flow for a 500 with all the ACT induction modifications?

Regards Chris.

Probably overkill for a standard 5.0l even with the ACT induction kit, and would certainly need a remap or aftermarket ECU. So probably best to stick with similar size to stock injectors unless you are planning further upgrades.

My engine spec is a V8 developments 5lt, with stealth cam, twin throttle carbon plenum, decatted manifolds and Clivef Y piece, ACT induction kit and ACT exhaust. Last dyno was a couple years ago and it made 337 BHP (282 at the wheels) sorted a few issues and improved the mapping since then so would expect it's a bit better now.

I don't think that's the same seller.

The sellers name I sued was Bavarianwerke.

I think these are what you're after I've looked at them myself. The also sell some that run at 15.9 Ohm I'm not sure which would be the ones to go for, if they're a worthwhile upgrade and if just using these you would need to have the chip remapped or not.

Ebay lists seller's address as london, does that mean no import duty seeing they're actually based in Spain .. ? They are as cheap for an outright purchase as I pay for some of my reconditioning work and as such seem too good to be true .. ?

It makes no odds if they're shipped from London or Spain as they're still EU so no additional tax to pay.

edit re price they seem well reviewed and I guess labour rates are cheaper in Spain than the UK.
