well my original post asked if my 430 was an early one. I am staggered at the amount of trouble you have gone to for both myself and eveyone else.
Many thanks

Hello, I have recently managed to purchase a TVR Chimaera 430. I would be very happy if I could find out some factory details and generally the history of the vehicle. The last four on the chassis are 1189

Imagine in 1993 petrol was 45.9 per litre. Flash first owner eh !
I filled up my TVR at £0.45p a litre just last week in Plymouth confused

Worked out at a touch less than £2.05 a gallon wink

And the 2017 petrol cost equivalent of 56mpg biggrin

Just a thought chaps, there's a special register already set-up for the 'last' 100 Griff SE's, compiled by Roger Thomas with the help of Mark Deacon and Chris Thomas. Link: http://www.griffith500se.co.uk/index.html

Why not approach them with a view to now adding 'sub-registers' for original 430BV & 450BV iterations?
If that proves successful given the relatively small number of factory produced originals, the remaining ones (400, 400HC; non-BV 430s/450s & non-SE 500s) could perhaps follow in the fullness of time?

Then Viola, a fully comprehensive Griff register as exhaustive as anyone could practicably wish for - we all know that TVR factory records were/are always a mystery/non-definitive - only a suggestion...
