ICEy Chimaera

I'm thinking of replacing the old Sony CD tuner in the Chim with an Alpine unit. Can anyone who has fitted an Alpine unit to their car give me some pointers? Are the original connectors compatible?

I have a chimaera 500 99 with an Alpine TDA 7638R, AI Net cd changer all topped of with a 600 watt 4 channel V12 amp.
Now it all went in ok the electrics are basically vauxhaul so you just buy the connection block for £9.99. However it did take the garage a good 28 hrs to put it all in I just didn't fancy messing with the Chimaera's electrics !!!!!

Sorry!, have got pioneer head unit with 6 disc changer, upgraded front speakers with 6x9's in the rear. A 12" sub and a 5 channel 2000w amp. All speakers are amplified. Took me about 4 hours to do the lot!!!!
