It's on a Chimaera not a Griff (can't imagine it's much different) but have a look at www.fotango.com/p/eba00162919f00000008.jpg It can just be seen under the number plate. That one was a carbon fibre replacement by Peninsula but it didn't outlast the next rabbit attack. Didn't bother replacing it again.
At the Supercar Sunday at Gaydon, there were roughly 30 Griffi/Chimpi... Only one had a spoiler fitted.
At the Brands Hatch Mania about 5 years ago I looked at about 50+ cars... and didn't find any but did find some holes where they went. Nearly got accused of being drunk, rolling on the grass trying to sniff the underside of TVRs...

HI,
I've fitted a spoiler to my 500. Droped the temp by about 5c when crusing, obviously no effect in traffic though
Attached it with self tappers to the front of the lower bodywork below the radiator intake
I think it works by creating a low pressure area behind the spoiler, below the engine. This causes air to be drawn in to the engine bay, via the rad

That would have been mine then. I had no idea I had such a rare accessory on the car - I obviously have a collectors item.
I am prepared to allow people to have a roll around under the front of the car to have a look for a small fee

Alternatively I could try to remember to take a photo of it when I get home
It's probably already come off...

No its still there - I distinctly heard it clang yesterday on a particularly bumpy piece of 'B' road!
(Just a clang, mind you, not a clang followed by a thump followed by a tyre deflating as said piece of mild steel parted company with nose cone and caused damage).
It has been refitted from a previous parting of company - it is now pop riveted in position with smallish rivets that will pull out if I hit something substantial, without wrecking the fibreglass like the self tappers did...
My Griff is indeed fitted with said item.
Trouble is the weekend I had it fitted I also trimmed the plate down (as it only has 5 digits). So I was never sure whether it was the plate or spoiler that made the 5deg difference.
Mine is made out of GRP/Carbon and is semi sacrificial in that it has taken a few hits, but it takes little chunks out of the spoiler rather than ripping it off. I'm not sure whether this was by design, but hey....
Cheers Dan

Well here's a picture or two of mine - 1999 Griff, with the spoiler in its original (as far as I know) original position:
You can see that the spoiler is about as far back as it will go. There are no other holes where it may have been fitted so I can only assume that this is where the factory intended it to go. On my car anyway.

Excuse my ignorance (always a dangerous opening line), but didn't the factory just spend quite a bit a time and money on windtunnel work for the Tuscan S. At the end of the day, they came away with both front and rear spoiler mods - claiming greater downforce at "speed". Maybe it's just the marketing guys, but maybe, just maybe, there is something to this???
