I sat in garage last night with a few beers still contemplating wether to keep, sell or turbo. I have engine out [when I was in turbo it mode] stripped ready for balancing at the very least. Then I go and see that 'Hoofa's name again with what I think is the ultimate Chimaera bow I think I can't possibly compete, but then again get's me thinking scratchchin hic.

Have you had a chat with him about what else he has had to change? Nigel's a good guy and I am sure will share the experience.

In Bike mode this break, machined new footrests, gearchange and footbrake, plus have now sorted a mount for the SPA design revcounter/speedo combined for my Ducati TTF2 replica. Challenge now is to complete the Astralite wheel set up and finish the 320 mm front discs and four pot calipers. Have promised myself that this year I will pass through the 60's disgracefully!

Not quite in the 60s but 59 today, (cue laughter and jokes about zimmer frames etc.

Spent a couple of hours renewing a Clio brake master cylinder as a favour to my son, (who's still asleep!).

Well my Christmas (including a few hrs on Xmas day) was spent installing electric PAS to give me back some engine bay space to re-route cooling and fit an oil catch can (Seems to work - will know this eve when I finish putting the car back together and get out for a drive) and installing an uprated cooling fan as with those two turbos up front in hot weather the car was marginal. Will have to wait for summer to see if that worked.

The plan is to get this done is prep for finally installing my 500 heads on Neal's old motor - I will get there in the end honestly!!

Neal1980, if you read this, what is the score with the decomp plates? I assume you need a composite gasket either side of them, or are they one time use only including effectively being the gasket seal?????

I want to get new valve guides and seals fitted to the heads before chucking them on. I have a couple of weeks paternity leave coming up mid Jan - Hmmmmm wink . Now just need to find some cash frown

Mac, will have the Manifolds and Y Piece off when I do the heads. Just thought I would mention this in case you wanted to go the same way that Neal went with the Turbo build. A friend of mine is after getting a set copied......
