Liking the spacers Simon - are the dimensions a constant or do they need establishing car to car?
Hi Gary unfortunately not I am sure Dave would be happy to spec some for you though my RR's are shimmed so that the roller tip is central to the valve stems (well pretty much) its this that interferes with the spacer dimensions along with the outrigger posts Dave likes to use those stock Rover buckled washers to allow for expansion etc rather than just shimming to a best guess clearance Edited by Sardonicus on Tuesday 7th October 21:50

yep, it is time consuming getting the correct rocker/valve tip alignment.Edited by Sardonicus on Tuesday 7th October 21:50

Mmmmm and I still got to deal with the roller tip sweep over the valve stem yet to be expected when you start frigging about with deck heights I suppose neal1980 said:
Got a little bit further again
Next job lots of hoses to make up, rad pipes and wastegate link pipes then really close just need to make an exhaust wiring then it should fire up
Looks great under the bonnet but starting to fill up very quickly now!

Great work Neal. Hats off to you sir
Replaced the O/S outrigger last night (with body on), A bit of a pain to say the least! but its done now. The N/S one can wait till i remove the body for a refurb in the next year or two, But the O/S one was almost non existant, It was suspect last year but appeared ok(ish), but what a difference 12 months make, Rot, Rot,Rot is all i can say. Any one who is looking at their outriggers get a bent screwdriver and check the top, It wasnt there in my case.
Not hard to do but time consuming as aligning the tubes to be sleeved, measuring, cutting, tacking, as it has to be done one leg at a time. The angled pieces were the hardest to cut right, and the seat belt mount in the tube lined up a treat.
and i always follow the old saying......
Ive cut it twice, and it still doesn't fit!!
I will try and get some pics as the last thing i was thinking about at 2 this morning was 'I must take a photo!'
