Tested my rattles just before Christmas and it still rattles frown.

putting my old Gaz Golds on tomorrow.

If all rattles are gone will I be pissed off!

That means that my newly serviced Monos are rattling!

We'll see!

Took newly serviced Monos off and replaced them with my set of Gaz Golds.

The rattling has gone!

The only thing i can think of is that the monos rose joints have a little play.

where's the angry smilie!

What is the difference in ride/handling like Pete, trying them back to back like that?

From simple road miles I think the Golds may be a bit crashy but it's hard to say with such limited miles.

The Monos would come into their own on track when they really get a work out.

When I had Pro-Techs on track and all damping was lost after a session, I felt them and they were red hot to the touch!

The Monos have never failed.

For the record, my Monos have done over 30K miles.

Done over 30K on mine so don't worry!

If it is a matter of the rose joints, it's a half hour job to replace them at most. I've already pressed a couple out.

I'll call GAZ on Monday and get a set put in the post.

All is not lost although I have wasted a lot of time looking for the culprit!

Ah, the old GAZ rubbish scenario.

Daz had his problems and a set of Nitrons sorted him, who knows.

As to the Monos, after tracking with a set of Pro-Techs, the Monos were a revelation, never, ever playing up, going soft or throwing up some sort of fault.

That was with 30+ TDs so if the rose joints have a little play then I'm not surprised.

My only gripe is that when they were serviced that they didn't pick that up. On the flip side, they are still smooth and if is very hard to detect any play.

Maybe I'm just fussy!

Can't you just smear some copper grease on them to stop the rattling?

Tried that.

New rose joints will just be a few quid and then a couple of hours to fit them.

Ah boo, there goes the theory that everything can be fixed with grease, duct tape or cable ties. Did you try cable ties? hehe

if the car is stone cold for the first maybe 5 min. no rattle. rattle occurs
when suspension is moving but mainly with zero throttle. above around 40mph its gone fully. it sounds like a rattle knock. its not the diff or prop shaft ujs. rear droplinks have been replaced. i suspect some wishbone bushes but not sure.

the gaz golds of my T350 made zero noise in the T350 so maybe worth a change.

was it something similar on your side ?

No noise from the Golds. Just have come back from a 30 mile spin down country lanes with the roof off.

So definitely a problem with the monos, mst likely the rose joints that I'll renew this week.
