Just bolted the seats in after having the rollbar altered to suit the seats.

Very pleased with the results, great match of colour.

Actually those seats are very light.

You can pick a each of those up with just your thumb and forefinger, easily.

They are a pair of old Elise seats, cloth covered that I picked up for £50.00

Had them recovered in matching leather by Mr Zigazaga.

I cannot recommend Mr Zigazagga, (Mark) enough.

He makes a fantastic job, the leather is first class and sensible prices.

He can be found on the wedge forum.

Its that time of year again for the MOT. Got the battery conditioner on it so just need to refit the battery box once shoved back into position and bolt it down. Haven't tested anything electrical for ages so will do that first thing in the morning. Weather forecast looks okay too so fingers crossed the tester doesn't have a cracked eyeball wink

I've lost the plot now. Car is on stands, and plenum off. Been seriously annoyed with the shunting that was really bad when running in traffic.
Anyway, thought it best to replace the plugs as they are a year old. So pulled off the leads, removed the heat socks and inspected them.

eek

No 1 lead

and the corresponding coil pack was green too. All clean now though.

No 8 lead

Looked at the usual TVR suppliers who really are taking the wee-wee with their vastly inflated prices. Found these for £26.51 so they're going on later.

I’m just trying to work this out.
So the plug end split from Turbo exhaust heat ( sounds reasonable considering ) but probably still held on to the plug.
The coil pack end, isn’t this corrosion formed from sparks taking off the coating ( bad connection) or is this water related corrosion ?

Yes, driving god, you are correct cool The split plug rubber was hiding under the heat sock so didn't notice it. But, used the temp gun and that cylinder was definitely a lot cooler. It has split along the seam so may be due to heat or just poor quality.
The green is corrosion from I suspect, water. I've never taken them off the coil pack so some moisture must have been in there from day one frown

Or the coating was insufficient from day one. The others ok I assume.
I better check mine before long.

Did the plug end show similar corrosion,
So much for water proof, are yours the landie ones like mine Iain.
From your dear friend the driving super human beer

Ps what sealant do you use on your Plenum biggrin

All the others were nice and clean. The green stuff inside the coil pack was fairly light and after a squirt of WD40 it all disappeared. Yes, coil pack with 4 double coils in a row. You know yer stuff laddie.

I use Wellseal on the plenum, seems to be okay. wink
