Another day and a fresh start.
Can you partially drain down to fix.

......and I thought a TVR was relatively easy to work on? That’s what you guys keep telling me. My Volvo was assembled by a man with a shoe horn.

Took the inlet manifold off the p5 to change the valley gasket and cure what I thought was A water leak which turned out to be several water leaks from the thermostat, the hose to the thermostat housing and from the heater valve.

at least all is clean under the valley gasket but the heater valve was a mess:




Mind you, that valve is almost 50 years old and after cleaning up can be refurbished with a new diaphragm if I can source one.

Hopefully fixed my water leak (we will see tomorrow)
Fitted new slave cylinder to the clutch and used swmbo as garage apprentice
I will give her 7-10

Ha, used my daughter for that yesterday.

After bleeding the clutch I asked her how much travel in the clutch peddle before it starts to take up. She said, “I don’t understand the question “!

No it’s we’re i have moved the sender for the gauge to
The casting has cracked I’m going to have to do some surgery and cut some of the manifold
Luckily there’s lots of it
