Nearside front indicator decided not to play. Really didn't want to disturb the mesh grille so went in from behind via the hole I'd previously cut in the inner wing. But turbo pipes and stuff in there plus the hole was originally cut to access the headlight bulbs, meant access was very limited. Then found I didn't have any amber bulbs with straight pins so wifey offered to go to Halfords for me. Phone call, 'no they don't have any' so she calls at car spares place on the way back - 'I've got you 5' confused
Arms are red raw from the fibreglass but nearly done. Bulb doesn't fit - she'd got 5 with offset pins aaarrrggghhhh.
Its 3.50pm and the shop shuts at 4 so she goes back down. 'No we don;t have any of the other type. Why don't you get an orange lens......'
So she calls at the next car place and they have one left. Finally got it fitted and working but forearms bloody sore so application of some soothing cream was required. A 5 minute job that took an hour and a half....... madshoot

Not long fixed mine on the SD1. While the gearbox is auto (GM180) the symptoms were the same as yours. Replaced the speed sensor on the box and all is good again.

Made a little heat shield this morning, hopefully it will protect the air con compressor a little bit when I fit it.

I'm having fun with the SD1 at the moment. I get more thumbs up, waves, smiles and comments than ever in the Cerb or Chim. For some reason, everyone likes it, even enough to let me out of side roads and forecourts with NO delays. They all stop and let me out.

But, I have been following all the sites watching the TVRs. There is a Cerb that's really tempting me and I've been looking at S cars too. So far I've resisted thumbup

Lol, its only a V8D pre serp but the engine code is definitely a TVR one woohoo
What's this 'bringing up to temp' lark then? Start up, wait for alternator belt to stop screeching, put into D and drive off like my grandad...... tumbleweed

Replaced some 2 year old fuel pipe !
Known issue amongst us I know but still can’t believe how quick it does this. Gone for a branded fuel pipe this time from Ilkeston Wiring products
