How much?
Have you tried Boston Radiators, they did mine for a lot less than that, mind you, 6 years ago

I got one 18 months ago, very pleased with it.
I got a discount for mentioning pistonheads, not sure if they're still offering that.

It's an interesting one really. The Cayman I own is fully loaded with all the mod cons; has acceleration and top speed similar to that of the Chim 450; makes a lovely flat 6 noise under load; and for twisty roads, there is little that the Chim could do to keep up. It is just a supreme driving machine, in all situations.

The downside is that the torque doesn't happen at low revs. You need to get to 2500-3000 before the action happens (and then it really happens!). And finally, I rarely look back when I walk away from the Cayman. I always did with the Chim.

Oh, and the V8 noise. Bring the noise!! My neighbours would not, I suspect, agree. They are probably more Porsche'y types. We shall see.

And you have your licence back, so great news all round.

I look back at the Boxster every time I pass it.

What colour is the new Chim? A local one?

Cracking work boys smile
Well ahead and it’s not yet winter biggrin
That’s my dream right there, love the busy garage and drive shaft hanging about on the floor, cable ties and signs of hard graft biglaugh
Is it a trick of the light or have you already cut off the front lower outrigger to chassis rail as it’s disappeared and what’s that top hat section just before the rear corner, do they all have that? I’ve never noticed that before, what’s is purpose ? Sorry for all the questions but that’s stumped me!
Body looks great in that colour, chassis should look top draw when all’s said and done. thumbup

Thats quite an important bit of metal...........its one of the seat belt anchor points.

I've not cut anything off my chassis yet. The bit you may have noticed on the floor is the front top crossmember which unbolts
I understand that the little top hat section on the outrigger is a seat belt anchor point on some cars early cars, but not on my 98 chim.
The' bobbin' welded into the outrigger in front of the top hat is one seat belt anchor point. There is a similar bobbin welded into the chassis rail opposite the first. You can probably see some white silicone gunge around it. The third seat belt mounting point is captive in the fibreglass wheel arch.
