Had a bang noise from the diff so I opened the van of worms
1 stripped out the diff and the rest of the stuff that gets in the way
Dropped diff off in Blackpool for a refresher
Replacement of tray bobbins old ones must have been 20 years old
Cleaned the pipe as it was caked in diff oil
Replaced fuel pipes on tank/ pump and return to tank
Picked diff back up from Blackpool
Now looking good and feels smoooth
Hopefully get the new pollys for the diff mounts Tuesday and it can all go back together ready for kicking Alun’s arce at the pod at the end of the month
I’ve been writing down the list of mods and improvements you’ve been making over the last 3 years, it’s been quite some spend,,, I think Daz is the one who should be concerned mind biggrin

I’m leading the last of the standard models timesheet rofl

If it’s anything like as smooth as mine you’ll not want to drag it but you will,,,,, biggrin

I really enjoy the slow speeds benefits this work can promote. thumbup

Was planning a respray over winter so with minimal risk had a go at wet sanding the car. Scary process but quite happy with the results.

1500 grit

3000/6000 grit

1st pass with polishing machine

2nd pass

Done

Next job is to fit a new soft top. It's going to be a bit trial and error so wish me luck!

I have one waiting to be fitted, looks identical to this one so yes it’s a Seat Leon one.

Yep leon splitter.

Cant say I've noticed much difference in temperature. Car drives much better but fitted the splitter at the same time as an upgrade to gaz monos, so cant really credit this to the splitter.

Fantastic job, well done.

Not many people would have a go at this.

I had a go at mine with a dual action mop, A medium cutting compound, another prep product and an expensive polish. Great results!

Better pic.

All budding F1 drivers get their excuses for not winning lined up in advance......

"I've got no grip", frequently heard on car-to-pits radio, actually translates as "the car will only stick to the ceiling upside down for 59 minutes, not the full hour", but they make it sound like they have just discovered ice driving.

Good luck to all at the pod this weekend. A wise man will take his Rainsport 3s with him.

And his wellies.

Go into a corner with no grip at 150 mph,,,, I get their point hehe

Each and every driver on an F1 Grid has innate speed above all his peers in the lower formula so the bloke in the Williams is likely to be a winner in a Mercedes and they know it, these young guns are soooo fast so complaining is all they can do, they don’t build the cars.

Oh mate once upon a time if I came second I’d blame everything,,,, but me rofl

Still do, I’m the best,,,, biglaugh
They all believe that I reckon smile
