Went out in a DB9 today, decatted... Woooooooosh. Want one. That engine was so quiet on tickover. I guess it's the rawness I like about the TVR, but that Aston is a wall of torque. It's fired me up.
Back to earth... Exhaust flexi and engine mounts arrive tomorrow and JE alternator bracket is waiting in garage, plus shed for garage junk almost built, which means the Chim will have new home. Hopefully the old girl will be back on the road in a couple of weeks. I'm glad I put some of those silicone dehumidifiers in there though. Emptied a load of water out of them today, but the interior was bone dry.

I hired a DB9 for a long weekend.
Awesome engine and exterior and draws lots of really positive attention.
Thought the interior was pretty low rent though. Parts bin indicators and plastic door handles with worn silver finish. If I'd spent 110,000 of my own readies on a new one I would be pretty disappointed.
The Chim with its bespoke turned aluminium controls is far superior. Still if someone offered me a DB9 in exchange for the TVR I wouldn't hesitate for long!
