I use DEA fuel system cleaner, you can notice a diffrence after you have run it through the system,

not a great fan of redex, my son had a 205 diesel, that when he started it disappeared in a cloud of white smoke, tried redex on it and it made no diffrence, I had bought some cleaner off one of the selling TV channels, I think it was called ASTA 2000, after using it the smoke was gone completly.

I've always put it through on any second-hand car that I've bought.
However - the engine in the Chim is only 6k miles old, and it's run on V-Power or BP Ultimate - both of which contain cleaners anyway - so I'm not sure there would be any benefit at this stage!
I put carb-cleaner through the inlet mani of my S2000 a couple of years back. There was a lot of smoke and it definitely felt better for it - for all of 1k miles before it dropped its bottom end. No idea if the two were linked - but I'll probably steer clear of injecting into the IM again just in case!
