Only thing I found with the DS2500 is the pedal is very "wooden" when the brakes are stone cold, a bit disconcerting if you forget!
I find the same for the first braking event, then they seem to hold enough heat to feel normal for road use.On the subject of the OP's question, I really like the Black Diamond Grooved disks. They'll take loads of abuse, and i much prefer the feel of them over the Pagid & others i have tried.
I'm using Estoril 15's and 16's,so don't really want to change the wheels,(but your set up Qbee look ace). The discs and pads I reckon are originals from 1999 as car has only done 17,000 miles since new, can't find any evidence in service history of any replacements.
Pedal feels wooden and confidence isn't great so really looking forward to something that works well !!

I stuck a set of DS2500 Ferodo pads in all round first, with standard disks. Made for good brakes that don't fade. Worth a try. I liked them on the road.
I cannot say that I found them wooden at all. Just put in a couple of good stops early on if you think they feel wooden. All they will need is a little heat in them.
I only upgraded the fronts to bigger disks on the advice of a track day friend, but I only use them to their full potential on a track, late braking to enable me to overtake out of corners.
