My advice is to repair & rebuild what you have Mark.
Mine are like an iron maiden inside all held together with bolts & pop rivets, you cant see all the repairs from the outside & the end result is actually a stronger mirror than when they were new.
Problem for me is i dont know what was there originally to make anything, have you details of what you had done Dave?Mine are like an iron maiden inside all held together with bolts & pop rivets, you cant see all the repairs from the outside & the end result is actually a stronger mirror than when they were new.

Now gone, but try this number in the search on EBay
131371113747
Ends at 12:57 Sat. And it's only the backing shell without the metal support bracket etc. £15 though with no bids!131371113747
A friend on mine has had the Corrado mirrors fitted, They look good but not cheap with all the rewiring involved, including putting the door release button in it.

Have now stuck an M16 washer onto the post side of the join to create a washer sandwich around the break, and reassembled the mirror. If I can screw it back onto the car and fully tighten it tomorrow without breaking the join, then job's a goodun.
Photos of the second washer in place to follow.
