Cigarette lighter to inflate tyres
Discussion
Tried to do this the other day with a fully charged battery and it kept stuttering so had to abort. Anyone idea why it won't work - obviously power's getting to it but not enough it seems. Battery's permanently connected to a trickle charger when not in use. Would be helpful not to have to go to petrol stations all the time. Thanks.
Weedy crispy wiring and oxidised connectors would be my guess. Mine doesn't provide enough current even to keep a Sat Nav running so ended up wiring in an accessory socket under the dash near the instrument light switch. Just use the fag lighter to keep a plug-in LED mini torch topped up.

exactly the same as above, even down to the rechargeable torch!iirc fag lighter gives about 11 bolts.
There is a multi connector block in the door.
It should be tucked up out of the way to keep dry but mine at least was floating about in water.
It gets corroded (mine fell apart when I tried to open the connector).
You'll need to get the door liner off for this one, good look.
I ran another pair of power lines to the back of the car and installed a 12V socket in the rear bulkhead.
