Is that to machine the UJ?

no but yes. The UJ needs an additional hole drilling and it needs matching to the pinion. The holes need to be able to take an M10 bolt and the pinion needs another cutout to stop the possibility of it spinning

Got mine off EBay. Can’t remember who though.

This chap says he will make any size.

You can use the standard Tvr rack spacers. Think they are more like 100mm long but the correct width and work fine. Got mine from race tech I think, few quid each

Can someone give me an idea of how much the pinion needs to be cut down by length wise to fit the KA UJ?

Few setbacks today.

Am I missing something here?

Round spacers 22.5mm, standard Subaru bracket and bush and TVR power steering spacer cut down to 25mm to fit inside wish properly.

Still about 7mm short..

Also kinked one of the high pressure pipes that need re-bending.

Question - is anyone standard using copper pipe?If so what's right ID and OD to use?

Do the end flanges need to be a particular size?

Ta

That’s strange, my spacers are 22/23mm. I reckon you have a different poly mount.

Just use a few washers to pack that gap out.

Made new copper pipes for my rack as i messed up the originals trying to re bend them.

Pretty sure it was standard copper brake pipe with a standard flare on the end. Nowt special.

Came across this thread as I have the same set-up in my Metro 4x4, using the Astra pump to a Subaru rack. I'm having trouble with blowing the pressure pipe off when at full lock. Admittedly the pipe that was made for me is not great but does anyone know where the pressure relief is using this system when the rack reaches full lock?

Don’t know of any pressure relief?

I suggest that you have a new feed pipe made up.

Proper swadged fittings would never blow off.
